This report created a furor in Turkey

The annual UNITED STATES COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM created a fury of criticism in Turkey, with pro-AKP daily SABAH reporting:  “Turkey slammed the U.S. 2019 annual international report on religious freedoms in other countries that suggests the leader and members of the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) are a small, oppressed religious minority, saying that the report distorts facts and purposely overlooks terrorism. “Defining FETÖ members as Sunni Muslims who have been subjected to religious oppression clearly reveals the extent of how the report is biased, detached from reality and written under the influence of [the leader of FETÖ],” Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said yesterday in a written statement over the chapter on Turkey in the report..”

I’m linking the report for the review of our audience, with the findings of which   I fully agree, except the Gulenists. Gulen  and his minions are a scourge on Turkish politics, having caused undesribable hardship and pain to  to millions of secularists and members of rival denominations.   While the persecution of the entire Gulenist  church may have gone too far, to write that “it is  alleged” Pastor Gulen has orchestrated the 2016 coup is not only an insult to followers of AKP, but to the entire nation more than 80% of which find Gulen guilty of  this despicable act.

Evil must be condemend no matter what disguise it takes. Gulen is evil.  So long as US denies this fact, Turks will never forgive  it.
