Putin’s Firewall Around Russia-Turkey Partnership

The author is probably on fan of the West, but this is the best explanation of the Adana Accord, which has move to the center-stage of Turkey-Damascus relations in the recent days.  Putin is trying to craft a deal which put turn over Syrian Kurdish territory over to Assad’s control in return for security guarantees for Turkey that PKK    will be kept away.

I also don’t agree  with the author’s conclusion.  Putin’s offer is not preferable to America’s safe zone, because it doesn’t create  venue for Turkey to quickly  repatriate Syrian refugees.
