A great moment for the poor victim, a disgrace for Turkish juctice.  US figured out that the only way to deal with Turkey is by coercion, i.e. sanctions threats.

On this subject I also recommend Cengiz Candar  at al Monitor who comments:  Almost all indicators point to a looming American arms embargo on Turkey reminiscent of the one in the mid-1970s following the Cyprus dispute. This time, an embargo could be coupled with sanctions that would have a much stronger impact on NATO’s defense strategy in a highly sensitive geopolitical region at a volatile time.
